“I have a Bose surround sound speaker system, I’m trying to buy something to make it wireless. As of now the speaker must be plugged into the tv, will this work so I can move the speakers off my fireplace mantel?”

NO! This is a SoundTouch product that either sends a wireless signal to it's peers or it can be plugged into an old amplifier for streaming.

This allows you to stream your favorite music through your home theater system from your mobile devices using the SoundTouch app. It is not engineered to allow speakers to become wirelessly connected to your TV.
