If your sound bar is part of the Sound Touch product group, you would not need an adapter. If the sound bar isn’t part of the group, this adapter would work if you have an input where it can be connected. TV sound will not play over multiple speakers.

I have a soundbar and one of the adapters and I can play either or both at the same time. There is no lag in the sound between the two speakers either.
