No, it would need to be the specific "i" version. Both devices have different standards and that is why Bose decided create two separate SKUs.

No, unfortunately the Android and IOS specify different hardware specs for the remote feature. The way the clicks get registered by the devices are not compatible. Sad, but true.

No, the Apple products use a different method hardware-wise than Androids.
The sound will work fine, but the controls won't func.
