• yes, they are adjustable (unless 8 years old have really really small head)

• They should fit a smaller head. They are slightly smaller so they should work well for kids. I bought them for my 12 year old and she loves them.

• Yes, they are not big headphones, so not for someone with a large head, and they will fit almost anyone else including children around that age.
