Hello, thank you for your question. The SoundWear Companion covers are soft and comfortable to wear. You need to remove the original cover to put the new cover on.

All the covers are made the same there soft and i love it i wear mine all day long it not scratchy are itchy to me and if you want to change the black cover for the blue cover take the other cover off first are vs versa trust me you will love it

The covers are soft and comfortable.the only issue is getting used to changing covers. Just go to you tube they have a great video how to change cover.
