I don't think there is a repair center in North Carolina. The only one is in Indiana, I believe. Go to:

and follow the instructions. I had a similar CD issue with my 20 year old Wave system: takes the CD but it skips and chatters. I'm waiting for the repaired system to come back. The repair fee ($124) is reasonable.

Not sure in NC where you could get yours repaired. That would be a Bose question. My Bose , will not take a cd anymore either, I just bought a new one. Sorry not much help here.
