Yes, this unit can display from a backup camera, though I have not hooked that functionality up. I installed on 2004 Yukon that replaced a previous aftermarket stereo. The Boss has rear inputs for Backup Camera as well as a wire for Reverse sensor. I hooked the reverse wire on the Boss to the Yukon's sensor wire via a cheap aftermarket wire harness (that bypasses the steering wheel control). I imagine most wire harnesses would have this. You would hook the backup camera to the labelled RCA wire on the Boss. When you backup, the Boss radio automatically switches to rear camera view. Not having this installed on my car, I was able to turn this off in the settings. I believe this also has the ability to display audio/video from an appropriate source, too (DVD player, game console). I have not explored that functionality, though.
