“If I put my ear to the tweeter on top should I be hearing sound coming directly from there? Will I be hearing sound coming from both midranges or is the design to hear the midrange from right speaker only bass woofers on the left?”

Chances are if you dont hear any sound from the tweeter, it quit working. I have had both my speakers have a tweeter stop working. The 1st happened just before 1 year of owner ship, and now the 2nd stopped working just after 2+ years of ownership. Not sure what the deal is other than poor QC with another China made product
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.In stereo, you should here everything. It’s a 3-way speaker. So tweet, mid, and bass drivers all get the signal. You may have the polarity backwards if you don’t hear all.
