A: Any receiver in Magnolia would be fine but here's the thing: you heard the speakers and loved them so the receiver that was being used to drive them is the one to get. I listened to these speakers with several different receivers at Magnolia. Their switching allows for comparison. Each receiver imparts its own "color" on the sound, i.e., the way it processes the sound through its electronics. I preferred the Yamaha A880. I personally did not like the subdued Denon sound or Marantz, but you might. What I do is listen with the various receivers until the sound I like is found. Isn't that how you chose the speakers? Same principle. I find Best Buy salespeople to be very patient and they actually enjoy doing the comparison. Anything 80W and above is fine and can be had for decent money. Wattage doesn't matter unless you're in a concert hall and need to blare it. For in home use 80W is fine. Speaker wire: stick with 16ga 100% copper. For runs more than 25' or so, use 14ga. You need nothing else. Enjoy.
Q: Is this the price for a pair speakers
A: That is the price for each speaker.
Q: Where are the speakers made?
A: Made in China The 800 series is made in UK
A: The midrange driver is different than the three woofers. The three woofers are identical
Q: Are the speaker connections on back single or bi-wire/bi-amp capable?
A: Yes, the connections accommodate bi-wire or bi-amp connections.
Q: What year this speaker made?
A: The 702S2 has been continuously in production since 2017.
A: Chances are if you dont hear any sound from the tweeter, it quit working. I have had both my speakers have a tweeter stop working. The 1st happened just before 1 year of owner ship, and now the 2nd stopped working just after 2+ years of ownership. Not sure what the deal is other than poor QC with another China made product
A: The simple answer is tarrifs. We built a new factory (near where your CM9's were built) that is not easily moved and the increased tariffs are responsible for the price increases that you are seeing.
