• Yes, I use it with my iPhone 6 Plus and I only use half of the magnetic strip.

• Yes, it will. I have the HTC One M8, which is slightly bigger than the iPhone 6 and it holds nice and secure. Don't know how well it will work on the 6 Plus though.

• Works great with my iPhone 6. Has base that folds out for additional support so would probably even work well on a 6 Plus.
