Q: QuestionDoes the magnet have any negative effect on phone operation/storage?Since magnets erase data on computers, I can't imagine that this is good for a phone.
Asked by RodgerF.
- A:Answer Magnets do not have any effect on the solid-state materials within the phone; namely silicone. I think you are referring to the older type of data storage that was kept on magnetic media. Remember the floppy disk? It was just easier to read and write on that stuff back then. Hard drives, although shielded, are still susceptible to a strong magnetic field. No magnetic media is on the phone. This phone-mount is the best I've ever had. I even bought one for my friend.

Q: Questionwill this work with otter box cases for iphone 7 plus ???
Asked by DES1988.
- A:Answer Should work on about any device case. The magnet that holds the device to the mount (2 different magnets included) can be attached several ways. Either to the phone or the case. SO the Otter Box case shouldn't create a problem - peel the cover off the magnet and press the glue side to the back of the case. Or you can probably place the magnet between the phone and case. I have a dinky little case for my iPod and I just put the smaller magnet between the iPod and the case. Works like a charm - every now and then the iPod falls off the mount but its because of constant handling and not the magnet. If I used the full side magnet it would probably never slide off.

Q: QuestionHow do I safely remove the magnet from the back of my iPhone? Thanks
Asked by Traci.
- A:Answer DO NOT USE A FLAT HEAD SCREWDRIVER OR KEYS. It will scratch the heck out of your phone and won't help much. Use a credit card, push it between the magnet and phone and push evenly, all around the magnet until it loosens. if you do decide on a flat head, use a wide one and put some protection, such as a plastic bag in between so you don't risk scratching your phone. I said this in my review and I think it's appropriate to add it here, but if you haven't put it on the back of your phone yet, use a cheap plastic screen protector or ANYTHING to put between your phone and the magnet so it will be 100% easier to remove later on. If you're just gonna put a case on your phone anyway, you won't have to worry at all about it moving. Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionWill the device mount on the window, if the dashboard is not smooth?
Asked by EliMusic.
- A:Answer Yes, but it also works on rough dashboards. The suction cup itself is sticky.

Q: QuestionI see there is a bottom support to add support in portrait position. Will this mount hold an iPhone 6 securely in landscape mode which I prefer when using a dash cam app ?
Asked by Landscape.
- A:Answer The bottom support is able to move up or down, to adjust where the magnet hits your phone, I use my Galaxy S5 in landscape and it's perfect with the support all the way up, if you move it all the way down the magnet hits the center of the phone if it's in portrait mode.
