• Hi there Aalayah, thanks for the question! The metal plate is meant to stay on your device for as long as you plan to be using the MagnetXT mount. If you want to take the metal plate off it is not meant to be reapplied to your device. To take it off you can use anything small to get underneath it and pull it off, but just keep in mind it can't be reapplied. • I used a piece of clear shipping tape or Scotch tape and put it on the back of my phone and I use a gel case

• I would use fish line or dental floss and slowly move back and forth till free.
