    • Answer Hi Pierre, Thank you for your question. This ceiling fan must be connected to a standard household electrical junction box and is designed to be operated via the included remote control. It is not compatible with an existing electric rod or powered extension rod. The included 5-inch downrod is for mounting and wiring only, not for supplying power independently. If you have a standard ceiling electrical connection, this fan will work perfectly. Please feel free to reach out if you need further clarification.
