“Does only the outside elements heat up We have this toaster,it appears that only one side of the elements are lit, the outside ones .Also it takes more than 4 minutes for toast to be ready,is this normal.It has to be set on almost the highest setting ,or the bread is not toasted enough.”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We purchased this toaster online from a major department store and when we received it we commented on how well it was packaged. We plugged it in and . . . . it didn't work. The handle didn't lock unless you laid it on the other side and then put the handle down; the lights didn't light up and it didn't really warm up at all . . . much less make toast - well - toast. Couldn't believe it. Took it back and returned it. Looking elsewhere.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.None of that is normal. It should toast way faster than 4 minutes and elements should be on unless you choose the bagel setting. I highly recommend you take it back and exchange it. Trust me, exchange it, don't buy something else.
