- Answer No, but if you want to drink a regular coffee, just add hot water from the machine to your expresso coffee.

QuestionMy machine only came with two single wall and one double wall filters and they do not fit into the portafilter. Also, when you put on the dosing funnel, the unit does not fit into the grinding cradle. Could I have gotten the wrong equipment?

- Answer Interesting. You should received 2 single cup and two double cups. One is already inserted inside of the porta filter. The fit is tight because the cups are new, after some use it becomes easier to install and remove. My barista pro did not come with a dosing funnel. It has a cradle, sort of a shield where the porta filter sits. My unit fits well. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase contact Breville or exchange from Best Buy. The unit is too expensive to not feel comfortable with all of the parts. It truly is an investment of time and money.

QuestionIf I were to make a double shot and wanted to make another double shot do I have to start over or can I just push the double shot button again using the same grounds from the first pull?

- Answer I would not recommend this as your puck in your portafilter is ready saturated and may end up choking your machine resulting in an over extracted shot.

- Answer If you mean direct water source, no. There is not a factory option for direct connect water source. The water tank is installed in the rear of the machine, is removable with replaceable filter. Manual fill is required. I am sure there are mods out there that can help with direct connect water source.

- Answer My opinion, purchase an expresso machine starting at $5K and above. The Breville Barista Pro is a home unit and not intended for commercial use. You won’t reach your return on investment (ROI) at such a high pace and likely to wear out the conical grinder or burn out the heat element over time. For a cater situation, worth the risk, charge the client and replace when it breaks.

- Answer Both Breville® machines, the BES878 Barista Pro™ and the BES880 Barista Touch™ come with the following accessories: 54mm Portafilter 480ml Stainless Steel Frothing Jug, 54mm Razor Dose Trimming Tool Cleaning Kit 54mm Single and Double shot Single Wall and Dual Wall filters. 54mm Portafilter. The BES880 comes with a water hardness test strip and the ClaroSwiss water filter as well.

- Answer No it only has one group head and will only let you brew one coffee at a time. And also it is a single boiler so you can’t use the group head and steam wand at the same time.

- Answer Yes, the Breville® BES878 Barista Pro™ will make a double shot of expresso at one time. A single shot cup can be placed beneath each of the spouts of the portafilter that will allow two single shots to be made at once but not two double shots.
