• Yes, there is a gauge on the top that tells you when it is at the correct temperature. This relies on grill or oven for heat and does not produce it's own heat.

• Yes, you can see "bake", temp and time all highlighted on the digital screen when you are in that mode. You simply press the start button and it begins by highlighting the screen. You can also hear it running. This preheats very fast and beeps when it's ready to use. You can also easily change temp and time by turning a dial. Very easy. You can also use convection with it or not. Hope this helps.

• There is a temp indicator. Keep in mind this does not heat up itself. It uses the grill heat to get to temperature.
