Q: QuestionI just bought this oven, but I don't know if I can keep it. The top of the oven is only 3 1/2 inches from the bottom of my kitchen cabinets- the manual says there must be 6 inches. Can I buy a heat guard to protect my cabinets? Will something else work?

Q: QuestionIn regards to the crumb tray. Breville does not suggest using foil in the oven. Question is: 1) can you use aluminum foil on the crumb tray? -or- 2) can you use a silicone mat on the crumb tray?

Q: QuestionDo I need a dedicated circuit for this oven? All my major appliance's currently have dedicated circuits, including the Microwave. I have plenty of standard outlets and counter space.

• A:Answer This oven is 1800 watts. At 1800 watts, the current required for a 120 V circuit would be 15 amps. Recommended that on a circuit no more than 80% of a circuit should be utilized. So.... 20 amp circuit x 0.8 = 16 amps. You need a circuit with probably 20 amps. Now other things can be used on the circuit but not necessarily all at the same time. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionWhy are "Special" pans required for this oven? Is the heat created to cook different than other forms of heat? I have heard the oven is great but these "special" pans have the coating flake off into the food after some use. Heat is heat.

• A:Answer There are pans that come with it, but I use other pans all the time. The only one I would consider "special" is the airfry basket, but you can use any pan you like under it to catch drippings. I actually ordered one of those copper air fry pans to use in this. It comes with a basket and drip pan. The pan I use now for drippings is actually the broil pan that came with the oven. No problems with using my other pans or anything flaking off. If it does, I'll just go get another. All pans wear out at some point, I guess. Hope this helps.
