“Hi. I’m interested in purchasing this item. But I’ve read so many reviews of shattered glass. As far as I’ve researched, it happened a lot on Breville. Why is it happening? I would like to know how I can prevent shattered glasses while using this item.”

The glass of the oven door has been specially treated to make it stronger, more durable and safer than ordinary glass, however it is not unbreakable. While having the glass in the door crack can definitely be scary because of the loud noise it makes, it is made of safety glass, like a car’s windshield. It’s created to spiderweb and remain as together as is possible.

I only upgraded to get the air fryer included. I wonder if people are letting the dog just drop instead of opening it carefully, or hitting it with a pan or dish.
