• The water is measured but I wouldn't say it's timed. It basically boils whatever amount of water you put in it, and drips the water out over the coffee like a very slow pour over. It's only an on/off function so all control is with the amount of water and coffee you use. But it's lovely to watch the water bubble up and the drip shower, and it makes a great cup or 8 of coffee.

• Not sure how long, but it is measured and timed and produces a nice bloom. The pic is from a single cup with two week old beans.
