“what happens when you follow the manual exactly for use, cleaning and maintenance. But the gage broke after a week and the machine is completely useless and doesn’t push water though the group head by 8 months? Now, just looks good on my counter at $300”

If it broke by no fault of your own, it should be covered by the 2 yr warranty. Some people just don't know how to use these appliances no matter how many instructions they read.
