- Answer A carrier Sheet is used to scan certain documents that can get stuck into the rollers of the scanner. You can load pictures, small cards, etc.

- Answer It is compatible, but you have to figure out how to make it work. No instruction manual in the box. Don't download the driver! Either use airprint if you can or download the Brother iPrint&Scan app from the App Store (free), which is what I did. Works fine, easy to use. Good scanner. Horrible user guide, You're pretty much on your own.

- Answer It does NOT work with the Big Sur OS. Manufacturer, Brother, tech support stated it. More - they are not going to develop a driver for the Big Sur. Thus, if you are working on Big Sur and would like to have a wireless (not cable) connection to a scanner, do NOT buy Brother ADS-2700W.

QuestionWe are looking to scan old photos and old newspaper articles, certificates, etc. As you scan a photo in one at a time, is there a place or field to identify the content (names, dates, location, etc.) of what each photo contains? Like a sub-title info.

- Answer The Brother ADS-2700W desktop scanner can save a file to a location, and the file can be named and identified. The date the document was created, as well as the location where it was saved can be seen in the properties of the file by right-clicking and accessing the properties window of the document. The software cannot organize or “tag” photos using other data fields.
