• The Brother DS-640 document scanner allows you to scan a variety of documents including invoices and receipts, up to 72 inches long and on paper up to 72 lb. bond weight.

• The opening is large enough for a standard 8 1/2" sheet of paper. It is labelled for legal length but I haven't tried large sized paper. Theoretically there shouldn't be any problem w/long papers like spreadsheets. Just put the narrower side in first. I have done many smaller sized items like ID cards w/o problems.
