Brother does recommend using a mobile hotspot connectivity, as this type of connection tends to not be stable and we cannot guarantee compatibility with certain mobile hotspots. We recommend instead using the Wireless Direct included with the Brother DS-940DW scanner. Wireless Direct allows you to connect the scanner to your mobile device directly without a Wi-Fi access point/router
