• Side access is not a problem. There are no parts to open on either side. Rear access is not normally needed unless there is a paper jam that requires rear access to fix. I measured the distance the rear fold out panel extends when opened and it is under 8 inches. However, to get your hands in to remove a jam I would give it at least 10-12 inches.
