• The software is loaded on your computer from under Brother Utilities that come with the 3290 printer .. I bought this for my wife and she loves it.. So it is simple.. The software comes with the printer either through a download or a dvd.. Soo you need no software from your end,,, comes with the 3290 printer. Hope this helps
