Picture paper is not a recommended paper for this printer.

Dear Boots; Sure, put in the good, quality photo paper. I don't see a problem with it. Put the photo paper, though, in the bottom tray, not the feeder. Best of luck, Consultant Brian

Will print on picture paper, if you mean glossy or matte. However, the colors may appear too warm or not lucid enough. But, I'm no expert and just commenting on 2 month experience with this printer. You may need to play with paper settings & dpi. Good luck!
