“Do I have to subscribe to Brother’s Ink Service? ( Just returned an HP for that very reason. If not subscribing, the ink cartridges that came with printer won’t work )”

No subscription required. Standard set of ink cartridges (color and black) are included in the packaging and work out of the box without any subscription.

Please try again later.Please note the Brother Brother Refresh EZ Print Subscription program is an optional program, if you do not want to join to the program you do not have too and you machine will work good with the inks that it comes with and it you buy ink and replace.
