- Answer Unfortunately the fax light can not be turned off, even if the fax is not connected. That light can be changed if you press copy or scan. We suggest you to turn off the Brother MFCL2710DW machine when you are not using it so the light does not illuminate the room at night.

- Answer I'm sure you can do this, but you would have to format a template to work with your check/s layout. Then, you just have to figure out which way to lay the checks in the tray to be sure they come out correctly. I hope this helps.
