• It's ability to print more jobs. The 9550 is designed for a larger overall load.

• The 9550 also comes with the Hi-Cap toner cartridges. Do a side by side comparison and that's the biggest "in box" difference other than the recommended monthly usage, which is more than most people will ever use anyway. Hope this helps.
