They are Bluetooth not WiFi they can be dimmed using google home no dimmer switch required.

Please try again later.This bulbs will work without any hub but just downloading C by GE app from the app store (Android app and I am not sure about Ios app) It work on your Phone bluetooth so you can control the lights using your cell phone as remote. But if you have Goole mini or any other Google smart speakers you can connect the bulbs using the Google home app and control them from anywhere using google Home app. But one thing to remember if you want to use google home do not set it up with C by GE app because the bulbs will not not be recognized by Google app. This is an irritating issue but have to live with it if you do not want to spend extra mone on Ge hub

When using the bulbs with other smart devices, it is 2.4 GHz needed for wifi.
