QuestionI just bought the smart led GE BR30 but I am not sure if we can use in our kitchen. We bought them to replace the ones that we have which are dimmable but not smart. Question is could the GE be used to replace them without causing any electrical issue?

QuestionI am looking for a dimmable LED light bulb to fit in my shallow recessed can light fixture. The bulb I have now is an incandescent Phillips 45watt 120V reflector. Is this bulb the same size? Is this bulb dimmable?

QuestionIs there a noticeable difference in the extra 40 lumens of light output from this light to the A19? I'm trying to brighten a room that already has an A19 and wonder if replacing with the BR30 would make a difference.

- Answer Hi Laura thanks for reaching out to us. The BR 30 is mostly used for recessed lighting. I personally have both and due to the radius in size of the BR30 it definitely covers more area than the A19. These are dimmable as well. - Answer These C by GE BR30 bulbs are bluetooth only bulbs. They are able to be paired on our C by GE app or straight to the Google Home app with the requirements of a Google Hub. Please reach our support team if you have anymore questions.

- Answer The C by GE BR30 bulbs will work with Alexa with the requirements of a C by GE smart hub. With Google Home you will need one of their Google Home devices. Unfortunately, all of our C by GE bulbs are not rated for outdoor use. You will also be able to use these bulbs from our app without needing a smart hub device.

- Answer Hi Nancy, both of the answers below are correct, but I'd like to add to both of them. To use our bulbs with Alexa, you will need a C by GE hub. This includes the C-Reach which was listed below, but, you can also use any of our other hubs. This being the C-Start Smart Switch or the C by GE Smart Plug. You'll want to have all of your devices (bulbs and hub) added to the C by GE app, then you can enable the C by GE Skill in the Alexa app. Once this is done, you can sync your devices over to Alexa. - Answer Hello! Absolutely you may use the native C by GE app to control these lights no Google Home required. Our app allows you basic in home control and if you want to expand to out of home control or add a voice assistant later on all you need is one of our Wi-Fi products to accomplish this. Since they are "Made for Google" smart lights, they have the ability to connect directly to any Google Home device without the need for a hub.
