  • QuestionMy old double oven has the electrical hookup at the bottom. Does the Cafe have it at the top or bottom? If it's at the top I suppose I have to have an electrician move it to the top.

  • QuestionDoes the oven's have cook timers? One for each oven?

    • Answer Hi there, thanks for taking the time to ask! This model only has one timer available to it, but it does have timer nonetheless. To use the kitchen timer, Press the stopwatch icon, select the amount of time for the timer to operate, and press Start. The oven will continue to operate once the timer countdown is complete.   • QuestionHi I am wondering how loud the oven fan is. Our current (now dead) GE is very loud when cooling down and during convection mode. thanks!

    • Answer Greetings, We'll be happy to answer your question! We do not measure the sound level of our ranges/wall ovens. It is normal for the fan to cycle on and off frequently during the convection cooking cycle. Algorithms decide when elements and fans should run to create the optimal heat distribution within the oven cavity. The fan or blower could come on during any operation. The oven-cooling fan for the electronic controls is controlled by a thermostat. The cooling fan may run throughout the entire bake cycle and continue even when the oven is off.     • Answer Hi impatientgirl - Thanks for your interest in Café! This model has an audible preheat signal. Preheat will signal at about 5-7 minutes. The oven is not at the set temperature; however, the oven is hot enough to add most items that require a pre-heated oven. Electric ovens with hidden bake elements take approximately 15-20 minutes to fully preheat. Also, Café WiFi Connect wall ovens allow you to preheat, change temperature, and adjust cooking timers from just about anywhere with our handy app and your smartphone.   • QuestionDoes the Cafe wall oven maintain the temp to match the setting?

    • Answer Hi luvs2bake - Thanks for considering Café Model CTD70DP2NS1! Yes, the oven will cycle on and off throughout the cycle to maintain the set temperature. The goal is to maintain an average set temperature, but you will see a normal swing in temperatures throughout the cycle. This is typical of ovens, and is factored into how recipes are created and used. This oven will allow you to set a temperature that is not in a 25° increment, such as 267°F. On the temperature setting screen, the slider is set to 25° increments, but if you then tap the screen, then a digipad will appear that allows you to set the temperature to anywhere between 170 and 550° F.   • QuestionHow would you repair a scratch on the glass surface of the oven? Is there some built in feature to reduce the possibility of scratching?

The glass may be cleaned just as if you are cleaning a glass or a mirror. An application of soap and water with a microfiber cloth should do the trick.
