“I will be installing this in a kitchen island. Is venting required with this product? I'm not able to put a hood in, but have been researching telescoping downdraft vents. If venting is required, what type of telescoping downdraft vent is compatible?”

Hey there, we're happy to help. Most range or cooktop models do not require a ventilation system or have a CFM requirement; however, we recommend checking the local residential codes in your area to see if one is required. If so, we'd recommend model UVD6361SPSS seen here: https://www.homedepot.com/p/GE-36-in-Telescopic-Downdraft-System-in-Stainless-Steel-UVD6361SPSS/318617745 - We'd also like to mention there's a bit on page 2 of the cooktop's installation instructions that states "For island installation, maintain 2 1/2" minimum from cutout to front and back edge of countertop.
