  • QuestionHello, We bought the cafe stove and love it so far. My question is how do I season the griddle, we’ve never had a cast iron griddle before and I made pancakes on it this morning and they stuck unless unless I used butter. Thanks Dale

    • Answer Hello Dale - Thank you for your question. Before first use, rinse with hot water and dry thoroughly. Prepare the surface with cooking spray or vegetable oil. After each use, apply a very thin layer of oil to the surface to maintain the seasoning. Re-seasoning Instructions: Clean the surface of the griddle by removing as much of the seasoning as possible. Heat your oven to 350F. Coat the griddle with a thin layer of oil and place it in the oven for one hour. Allow the griddle to cool and repeat as necessary to restore the seasoning.   • QuestionIs the glass surface susceptible to scratches or breaking vs denting?

    • Answer Hello Gaby - The glass used in the Platinum Glass collection is actually a very durable surface and we have seen it as more resistant to scratching and denting versus traditional stainless and painted metal finishes. That said, it is glass so if it gets hit with a high impact, it can break. The design does use safety glass. Thank you for your interest! Olga@Cafe
