Q: QuestionI just got this cooktop installed. How am I going to tell if my cooktop has been replaced by gas propane conversion orifices since my house is supplied by propane gas. The cooktop has yellow flame. Is it normal.

Q: QuestionThe cut out of my counter top is 33 3/4" wide x 19 7/8" deep. The installation guide says 33 7/8" wide x 19 1/8" deep. Is my cut out too big? The cooktop is 36" x 21", meaning the lip covering the countertop is 1/2" on front and back. Will this work?

Q: QuestionDo you need exterior venting?

• A:Answer Hello - We appreciate your interest in this beautiful Cafe gas cooktop. This model does not need exterior venting. This cooktop does not require the use of ventilation unless your local codes require it. It is recommended for steam, odor, and grease removal when cooking on the cooktop. Q: QuestionDoes this item come with stainless steel knobs or do they have to be bought separately? Per one of the companies responses to a comment feedback, the customer complained of melting knobs, the company said she could purchase stainless steel knobs?

• A:Answer I have had my Cafe 36" gas cooktop for about 2-1/2 years now. And I will definitely tell you they melt! I have now been through 2 sets. The last time I tried to order them on line I was told they were discontinued. I have looked all over for a metal replacement they do not exist.
