• It does not have an on off switch, just the Wall to USB-C. You can purchase another device that has a female to male with inline switch, which can be seen in some of more inclusive kits or purchased separately, but not the CanaKit ‘brand’ as I’ve only seen those in the packages.

• No on/off switch in the kit I picked up, so I would say that it’s safe to assume that you’re going to have to unplug it.
