Keep in mind that cameras with a video function have a time limit on video recording. The Canon site does a very good job of detailing what those limits are for this camera. Also note that the batteries in this camera are not made for long form video. Thus, if you are contemplating recording a ceremony longer than about 30 minutes, you will not only run into the programmed limit on recording but you will likely deplete the battery at about the same time. Considering the price of this camera, a video camera made expressly for the functions you desire may be a secondary purchase.
