“What all comes in the package? Labeled on the side it says that the SL1 come with the camera itself, the two lenses and the bag and the owners manual. Does it come with a battery being that it is a package? Does it also have a neck strap charger or any software?”

The package includes a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery, with charger; Has a nice neck strap, lens covers and caps for the mounting connections on both both lenses. And, yes, it comes with three CD's (for both Windows and MacIntosh) which include the camera instruction manual, software instruction manual and digital solution disk. The only thing of substance not included in the package is the SD memory card. I purchased a 32 gigabyte card, which should be plenty of storage for my use -- but one can get up to at least 128 Gigs on a card it you choose. It's a good package.

I think Canon's software is included on the CD to ease transferring images to the computer (I just use Windows Explorer with no issues).
