• I don't own this camera, but I read the manual. The Rebel T6 has a mono microphone with no external jack. To get an external microphone jack, you have to move up to the T6i

• yes this camera has a 3.5mm jack,so that you can use an external micrphone

• You can use a mic, I have a long wired mic that's small and hooks to my clothes incognito from bestbuy, but if you don't have a mic the sound still does work pretty well
