A:AnswerThis is definitely something to look at for your needs. The major benefits over a point and shoot is the ability to switch lenses (which would be a must for a safari shoot in which most animals probably won't be right next to you). This also has great video quality to record some of your adventures. Since this isn't a "point and shoot" you have a lot more control over your shot settings, but still have an Automatic setting as well in case you don't want to mess with aperture and ISO. I have found for quick shoots, in which you don't have time to change settings and take multiple shots, the Automatic function works great.
