They don’t look nearly as nice, but it let me learn the ropes before dropping several hundred dollars. Most phones even have a camera that, with a little assistance, is fine for experimenting with video. That said, if you’re confident in your decision to take this step, I do recommend this camera. It’s a popular one, which means there’s tons of tutorial videos and support out there. Also, plenty of compatible accessories. You’ll never be in the position where the lens breaks or battery dies and you need to special order the part.
