• Further update: heard Back from Canon. This printer does in fact have a flatbed scanner: CanonUSA answered: "Hi, John. The imageCLASS MF269dw features both the document feeder and a flatbed scanning area (platen). Copying, scanning, and faxing may be done through either."

• UPDATE: Just watched a video showing the features of this printer. It clearly shows a flatbed scanning feature. We have ordered one. I'll post another update if it turns out the video was wrong.
