Yes, it can and does quite nicely. Be careful to verify your settings before you begin the scan to ensure all scanned pages go to the same file. It is a scan settings option. I am still exploring the functions of this printer. It is quite complex, but should not be a challenge for the IT professional or a seasoned computer user. New users are encouraged to check out the manual. Soft copy can be downloaded from the Canon support site without issue.
