I have not experienced it smudging on regular cardstock. It smudged just a little when I used a glossy cardstock. If I had waited an extra minute or two after printing, I'm sure it would have been fine.

On card stock, and on plain paper the ink that comes with the printer is very resistant to water. No smearing. I have only tested business cards and regular paper that were printed yesterday, so they were very dry. I have not tested things that were printed in the last couple of minutes. Anything that you allow to completely dry does not smear at all. This is surprising because my old Cannon printer was very prone to smearing.
