Yes it will stay plugged in and will not get hot

Because most more modern cars come with the port but doesn't come with the push lighter, it's hard to gauge whether the USB AND DUAL SOCKET LED CAR CHARGER, will work in your car. Not sure but the internal design of your car's lighter port may work differently from that of modern cars since the port isn't used for lighter. With your car it probably made to heat the lighter coils for the lighter and once it get's hot some sort of sensor causes it to pop out. What I would do first if I had that situation, I would first try taping down the charger I plug into the lighter port to see if it wuld keep it from popping out and see if it would heat up charger or do any damage to it. If not then I would go ahead and purchase the USB AND DUAL SOCKET LED CAR CHARGER,..Other than that find a mechanic shop and ask them about the lighter port and see if it can be switched out to a modern port.
