QuestionIs it standard practice for bestbuy techs to cut the factory harness in a brand new vehicle? Bought a new suv and had speakers and a powerpack installed in 2017 by bestbuy and when changing out the factory radio today, the tech said my harness was cut.

- Answer No it is not. They are supposed to use a wire harness to install a new radio. However, a wire harness is a set of pre-cut wires that plug into the vehicles existing harness. So if someone does not know what they are looking at it may look (at first glance) that wires have been cut when in fact they have not.

- Answer As long as they can locate your original receipt this should not be an issue from my experience.

Question1999 Toyota Land Cruiser install with Pioneer AVH 4200 NEX and Kicker 43DSC6504 speakers. Should I use the Metra 70-8112 amp integration harness or a universal amp bypass harness in order to keep the project affordable but still sounding good? Thank you.

QuestionJust installed a pioneer avh-2330 nex. I have a 95 Cadillac Seville sts with a power antenna. When I I initially installed the deck the power antenna went down when the car was turned off. I just installed a video bypass and antenna not going down pls hlp

- Answer Yes. Even if the unit comes with free install you will have to pay for the necessary parts to complete the install. Usually, but not limited to, a wire harness and dash kit.
