• The power required to operate the tape player / recorder is 9 volts DC. The tape player / recorder comes with a 120V AC adapter or it will run powered by 6 C size batteries. It does not have a means to connect it to a car power outlet. It may be possible to buy a separate adapter that converts power from the car outlet (usually 12 volts DC) to the 9 volts required by the tape player / recorder.
