If you've lost your original remotes you could use your phone via the myQ app to open/shut the garage door without ever using any remotes again. As far as the built-in garage door opener set-ups that many vehicles have incorporated into their windshield-mounted rear-view mirrors... hmm.... you may be stuck on that. Whenever I've programmed those set-ups I've always had to use an original remote.

It is not intended for use with openers in which the photoelectric sensors located near the bottom of the garage door change power mode (e.g., lights on the sensors turn off after the door is closed), or any Chamberlain Group opener with a yellow learn button manufactured between 2010 and 2021, or any Linear opener. For programming your vehicle, you will need a remote or keypad and contact HomeLink directly at 800-355-3515 for information on how to do so.
