• You will get a notification any time it opens or closes. You can set a schedule that will allow you to say "if the door is open at 10PM close it". That is the main reason I wanted it. Yes you can remote open and close from anywhere as long as you have cell or wifi connectivity.

• Yes. You can see on the app if the door is open or closed. You can also set up an automatic close time. You can close the door from anywhere anytime. Great device.
