Yes i was wondering if this would work on my garage door, the sensors at the bottom of the door that sees motion they have never worked since they replaced them. The garage door works fine,just doesn't detect motion.

The Smart Garage Control is intended to be used via the myQ app to open/close, check status of the garage door, set alerts and notifications, and add guests and co-owners. If you are looking for motion detection, our motion detecting wall controls are available. You can also add a Smart Garage Camera which will be able to show a Live Feed of your garage and capture motion events when a video subscription is added. Thank you!

I dont see why it wouldnt.  This item would only tell you if the door was opened or closed.  And you could you could open or close the door from the phone app
